Umpired LL on weekends during the school year. Went to Cooperstown last year for a week (was paid about ~$700) and had a blast. Also worked 8 games for a holiday tournament (did this several years).

My son mowed lawns and caddied. He could make his own schedule. It helped we lived on the course. My daughter had a great job when she played travel softball. Monday to Friday she drove food out on the course to golfers who ordered by cell. She drove a golf cart all day.
My son works scorekeeping for little league baseball for our city rec dept. They know him personally, and are great with trying to schedule around his travel schedule.
2016 works at the local day camp in the mornings (Mon-Fri). He is also starting an internship at the police department in the afternoons (needs to complete 160 hrs by graduation). He's worked it out so he can miss both when he has tournament games during week.
