Last year as a sophomore I had a really good year on varsity. I had a 2.6 ERA overall and a 1.1 ERA in league and averaged 1 BB every 2 games. I made all-league and I was getting a bunch of letters from colleges. This year, on Varsity as a Junior, I was hurt for the first 15 games of the season, but I played through it. Looking back, I shouldnt have because my stats were horrible. I had a 5.1 ERA and a 3.7 ERA in League and I didnt make all-league. Will my Junior season hurt my chances of going D1? Or is the summer more important?

Stats mean very little when it comes to being recruited. Coaches look at what kind of tools you have. If you have good velocity, good command, etc. you will get recruited whether or not you have the stats. College coaches don't know what the players BA or ERA is before they step on campus.

Summer ball is typically a better gauge of talent because the best players usually play together. Again, stats don't matter there either, most summer teams don't even keep them. Summer teams just allow players to be seen.
