Tomorrow I am taking my 2018 shopping for clothes to wear as a pallbearer for a classmate, who killed himself earlier this weekend. He wasn't a baseball player and had no connection to this site, so this may seem out of place, but it seems vital to remind all of us who parent or work with high school kids that we need to treasure them, and pay as much attention to their mental health as we do to their arm health.

Very sad whether the kid played baseball or not. My family will be praying for the young man's family, your son and classmates.

Mental health can be an issue at any age. If you recognize person's behavior has changed offer to help. Help by listening.
