anybody know the rules? I seem to recall there being instances where a game that would otherwise be a "complete" game (more than 5 innings) is suspended, and when resumed, played from the beginning. The statistics for both games count (thus, for instance McGwire played in 163 statistical games when he set the record). Did these rules change? I remember, though, also, at Wrigley Field, before lights, if a game was suspended because of darkness, or in one instance, I recall Cincinnati had to catch a plane, the game was resumed a month or so later from where it left off (in the 8th inning). Let me know.

They changed a post season rule a relatively short while back. I can't rememebr the details

Last night's game should have been cancelled from the git. MLB is really pushing things, ratings and all. They're panicking with a couple off market teams here.

All they had to do was look at the dingin' doppler. that stuff looked like a hurricane running up the coast.

Not to mention that if they're going to mess with a very old and simple format for the payoffs...which they did..then they need to figure out how to shorten the season or something so we can watch the blinkin' World Series in something other than early Winter. If they're gonna make drastic changes to a long standing system then they need to consider every aspect of it and do it properly.

We're supposed to be watching teams, who's skills are peaking, playing some of the best ball of the year..rain and wind aside it was 40 degrees out there early on and dropping. ???
