Sweats at a showcase

I would wear something under your UNI.
Armour, are long john's if your worried about cold.
Look like a ball player. JMHO EH

In my opinion, you should NEVER wear sweats, always wear a uniform. You can have something underneath it, obviously, but the players that wear sweats stand out, and not in a good way. When I have watched showcases, the players that are wearing sweats just always seem to look out of place.

The coach that first advised my son about showcases told him that he will be far ahead of the game if he goes out there LOOKING like a ball player. In uniform..make that in a CLEAN uniform, shirt tucked in, belt on, hat on, looking crisp. You don't get a second chance to make a first impression.

I like white pant's, look's good on the field.

I agree with some of the other posters. "Look like a ballplayer, act like a ballplayer." I also feel that the players that wear sweats to the tryouts do not look as sharp as those wearing regular baseball pants. One thing that my son does in the cold weather while still being able to look the part of a ballplayer is to wear white long underwear under his baseball pants and he, of course, wears his socks over the longhandles so they do not show. That could possibly be a problem if the tightness bothers you, however. Either way, I would definitely advise against the sweatpants.

I agree no sweets, look like a ball player. You can wear long sleeves if you want thin long johns under your baseball pants. In fact look like a fit ball player with uniforms that fit and don't hang all over the place, such as baggy baseball pants.

The Show in showcase is for what they see - sweats have no place...
