sweetest swing in baseball?

just wondering who some of you thought has the nicest swing in the bigs?

for me, i think chipper jones does. even from both sides of the plate. his swing looks so effortless and smooth, its incredible. he's hit for average, home runs, and drives in a lot of rbi's. also, Chipper isn't one of those guys who pump a ton of iron and all that. he just has a sweet swing.


so who do you guys like to watch swing the bat?

I gotta give it to Manny Ramirez on this one. His swing is so smooth and effortless. He looks like he is using so little energy and yet getting the most out of his body in the same swing. Zero wasted motion.

Being from Missouri I also gotta go with Albert Pujols. His transfer is incredible to me and it seems like he just flicks his wrists and the ball goes.

There are many but I would have to say these are in at least the top 5.

Im going to approach this from a different aspect, but still I see these following as the sweetest swings.



Big Swings and Big Boys:

Righty(Top2): Albert Pujols and Vlad Guerro

Lefty(Top2): Big Poppi and Ryan Howard



Great Swings at Medium Size:

Righty(Top2): Derek Jeter and A-Rod(A-Rod you could argue as big boy, but i see him as 3rd base medium)

Lefty (Top2): Joe Mauer and Johnny Damon



Base Hit Small Guys:

Righty(Top2): Alfonso Soriano and Robinson Cano

Lefty(Top2): Jose Reyes and Ichiro



Best Switch: By far Chipper Jones



All of the guys are in my book, the masters of the swing at the plate as by their size. O and yes they definently have sweet swings.

Joe Mauer. I don't even like the Twins but I love to see his clips. It is one the best, most balanced swings in the game. Griffey's swing is so fluid that its easy to overlook how long it is. I would tell a kid to emulate Mauer over Griffey for that reason. I think Griffey would be considered one the best, it not the best to ever play if not for injury because I think its safe to say that his numbers are completely legit.
