CCISD announced today that all Corpus Christi ISD
schools will be closed beginning tomorrow, May 5 until at least May 13.

They have canceled all extra-curricular activies,
including sports practices, meetings, banquets,
proms, etc. until AFTER schools reopen.

That would mean no practice for Moody or Carroll
high school baseball teams.

The CDC in New York is now revising its decision recommending school closures. They are determined that the virus is among the general population more than the schools and, by closing schools, you have pushed the students among the GP.

This is what happens when politicians knee-jerk instead of taking a cooler head approach.
I wouldnt call that working around the rules. Where do you get working around the rules. He just said the captains could organize a practice that is working within the rules. Heck no one else in the state is not practicing.. All the schools I know of that are closed are still allowing their teams to practice. Moody and Carroll are at a strong disadvantage to say the least.

I agree, I feel this is perfectly within the rules. Although I do wonder just how much work is going to get done in a captain led practice. Should be interesting to see if these school cancelings give any teams an advantage.
