A pitcher gets offers from a few D1's and D2's with more interest from D3 and NAIA schools. He signs in the Fall with a good NAIA school offering a nice athletic scholarship. He has an outstanding senior season and gets a good offer to a successful D1 program. QUESTION: Can he switch his commitment? If so, what are the ramifications (other than the obvious ethical ones)?

Any good coach would want what was best for a player. D1 is a better opportunity than NAIA, in most cases. I remember years back, when Coach Malcheski was still at Northwood, we were talking one day, he told me that he had just lost one of his top players to Pepperdine, he was certainly dissapointed, since the player had been with his program for a couple of years. However, in his next breath, he stated that it was a move that was in his player's best interest. I've admired the man ever since.
What conference is Wayland Baptist in?

NAIA ball is awesome! Usually at these schools the baseball team gets top or near the top billing.

I need to put a plug in here for my former coach Brad Bass who is now at Wayland Baptist in Plainview. Awesome man who had a major impact on my life. Great program out there on the high plains.
