Our Senior Son is going to meet and talk to a Coach with his Dad this week. The Coach wants him to bring his Highschool Coach too if possible. Is this done practice done often?

His Highschool Coach is going to work with Son on a program (running, throwing, and wieghts)to have him ready by Fall. Could this be why the College Coach wants him there too? To make sure they are on the same page as for the Summer workout. I have never heard of taking the HIghschool Coach with you before. The College Coach also spoke to the Highschool Coach about our son a few times before ever speaking to our Son directly. The Highschool Coach said that he will go and is very excited for our Son. In fact he really is the one we credit with getting our Son interested in continuing to play ball.

Just brainstorming here, but there could be other reasons the college coach wants the high school coach to come with.

Maybe in their earlier conversations the college coach decided that your son's HS program also has other good players coming up, and he wants to forge a strong recruiting relationship for future years.

This would also seem positive for your son, as it should indicate that the college coach finds the HS coach's recommendation of your son very credible.

Good luck to your son!

Julie
