I wanted to share this with the HSBB Fam. Yesterday my son was invited to a week long camp in SOCAL and he was just coming off a successful outing over the weekend in a local tourney. He didn't have to go since he is on vacation at the moment but he wanted to go. He just turned 13 and he is off from school. Anyhow before we move on I printed and posted the " How to make the High School Team" section on this website onto his wall by his bed. He looks at it from time to time and I told him when he attended the camp to " apply the same rules here as well." He played on a scrimmage team which involed several 13yr olds from the camp against a local JV High School Team. He shined defensively and also ran the bases well. Then came the time for him to pitch. This was something we talked about before, which was to , "take advantage of every opportunity no matter how small the role or little time you get". He pitched very well and also pitched composed with no mistakes.

Come to find out the local HighSchool Varsity pitching coach was at the camp standing at third base. He asked him , " what is your name kid", the son told him his name. He then told him, " before you attended this camp you were not known, today son you are known." Needless to say he didn't go to sleep this evening.

A real special thanks to all on this website! You guys have a great thing going here and I wanted to share my son's dream with everyone here.
