taking bat out of game

playing in a high school tournament coach from the other team complained about a bat the umpire looks at it says we cannt use it because the paint is worn off but you could still make at the name and the bbcor still is on the bat what ruling is under

If you can still read the "BBCOR .50" and the bat isn't otherwise damaged there is no reason to disallow the bat because some paint is worn off. There isn't any rule that says the bat has to have a perfect paint job.
