Pete Levitt, ( Cape Henry Colligiate grad- 08') will be pitching in his second world series tournament this coming weekend.
Last year, as the closer for Pitt Community College, Pete appeared in his first JC World series game in Colorado Springs and faced College Of Southern Nevada's Bryce Harper. ( Got him out!)
This year, as Div.II Mount Olive's second starting pitcher ( potential first rounder Carter Capps being the ace ) Pete will play in his second " World Series " which starts Saturday Night in Cary, NC. As Capps will most likely pitch the opener, Pete will most likely pitch Monday in the second game. Good luck to the Trojans!

Bucking conventional wisdom, Coach Carl Lancaster Started Pete Levitt in the opener of the Division II NCAA Championship Tourney, and was rewarded with his decision by Levitt taking a perfect game into the 7th inning Saturday night against Millersville, Pa. Pete struck out 7 and did not walk a batter, giving up just 1 unearned run in the 7th, and 3 hits in all before leaving in the 8th for relief pitcher David Combs. Carter Capps came in for the 9th, getting 3 quick outs as Mt. Olive got the win, 3-1. Mt. Olive goes on to play again this Thursday. Due to the structure of the tournament,it is entirely possible for Mt. Olive to go through the entire tournament using only Levitt and Capps as starters.
