My son is Kristopher (Kris) Standish.

I don't know where we are staying or when we will show up.

We are finishing our High School season right now and we have a regional game tomorrow.

If we win tomorrow, we have sectionals on Friday and we won't come until Saturday. If we lose tomorrow we will come down on Thursday.

So I haven't made reservations yet
We won the state regional game so we get to play in the sectionals on Friday.

We will be showing up at Team One on late Friday night.

Anyone websters coming down, please introduce your self, I would enjoy meeting you.

I am 5'11 about 275 lbs and will be wearing a royal blue hat with a gold Notre Dame style(how appropriate) NB on it.
I just got back.

Lots and lots of coaches!!!More then I had seen at anyother event we have attended.

I liked the way it was run, continous batting order so everyone gets about he same number of at bats.

My son got plenty of field time, although out of position at times. They needed a 1st baseman so he volunteered even though he never played 1st base before.

We got there late due to State HS Playoffs, so he missed the 60 run and BP so I imagine that will affect him and what coaches think of him.

All in all it was a great experience for him.

Didn't stay at he Days Inn so No comment.
Oh My God, what a trip at the days inn. I told mt son to get used to it if he wants to play minor league ball. The best advice I gave him was "don't touch anything in the bathroom".

Thanks so much to HS baseball web, Bob. If it weren't for the dawn of the internet and this website I would know nothing about recruiting or showcases. I would never have know that Team One ever existed.

I am proud to say that my son, Alan Oaks, was named as one of the top hitters.

And there were so many coaches there. We counted about 25, from states as far away as GA.
I probably broke every unwritten ettiquitte rule by sitting behind home right amongst the coaches. It was an opportunity to check them out as well. (I know you can't talk to them, but you can watch how they act with the other coaches.)
It was a great experience.

Thanks again.
Actually, I found the coaches to be quite friendly!

But I kept the conversations on baseball & Life and did not talk about my son at all, except if asked which one was my son.

I stayed at the Ramada becuase the Days Inn was full when I finally figured out when we were arriving, and had similar experience as you had.
