How did it go?

Good. Son lived at his college housing in Iowa City and drove to games, lifting and bullpens only when he was slated to pitch. He travelled with the team a few times, again, only when he was supposed to pitch.
I think he missed some of the stuff that goes around summer baseball — really getting to know other players, host families, etc., but he threw 39 innings with a 3.69 ERA, and learned a lot about himself and the game, so from that perspective it was terrific.
Thanks. Waterloo Bucks then right?
Interesting differences to travel ball. My guy is a 2021 rhp/ss and got on a Wisconsin travel team. Several of the Minnesota commits are on the team and he loved getting to know them before school next year. He is getting to throw a lot, get AB's and play some MIF.
So got in a short season, state tourney, and travel ball. Not a horrible year like other states.
We were super lucky and worked hard at it. Now people need to figure out what went right and what can be replicated so we can have a spring season!!!
How many players on your kid's team went to Northwoods? Do you know the distribution of summer ball for his team?
I have spent a little time looking at where Minnesota sends their bb players for the Summer and it looks like lots are all over the teams of the Northwoods League. 3-4 in a row were players of the week.
It was great. Brown Indian Jr pitched on July 4th but somehow the Bismarck Tribune and the Larks website gave credit for the Win to Brown Indian Sr. It was my first win in over 35 years. Man it felt good to get back in the win column!!
