Tennessee Labor Day High School Baseball Tournament

There will be a high school age tournament that will be played at Bearden and Knoxville West high schools over Labor Day weekend. The cost is $200 for 4 games. There is room for 10 teams and they now have 8 entered.

Looks like a good field:

I saw where Rossview had a few players show up well in the Blue/Grey Classic at MTSU.

Bearden was much improved last year and played quite a few sophs. I would expect them to continue to make strides.

South Doyle lost a bunch of seniors who made significant contributions for 3+ years. However they also had one of the best freshmen classes I've seen. Those guys are now sophomores. If they can replace the holes left by Kirkland, Ross, Vannoy, Zurcher & co. they will be a force.

Maryville has several returning starters. I don't know whether all the guys will be on the fall roster or not.

West is going to have to find out who can pitch after losing 5 senior pitchers.
