In reading about some of the latest MLB signing I have seen terms such as "premier" and "elite" in describing these newly minted millionaire players---a player who hits .250 and a pitcher who is 5 games under .500 are described as noted above

Something is wrong here---I remember when players like this would not get the chance to even play in the bigs---this is now an everyday occurrence

I am not arguing that the mraket is what it is and a player should take advantage of it as long as he can but do we have to describe them as elite players.

Just my thoughts

Someone once described me as sincere, caring, and kind. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I supposoe when you're writing those big checks you have to talk yourself and the fans into believing it.

Elite, premier, and similar words are very relative and can have as much meaning as person saying it wants. Likewise, when someone says "elite" to me I'm usually thinking "in who's mind".

Everyone should be entitled to their opinion and then we draw our own.

TR-I approach any baseball talk about free agent signings alot like I approach used car salesman. One owner, low mileage, garage kept, owned by an old lady who only drove it to church, means the player is a one tool player with the possibility of having that one career year. The fans should lobby for a lemon law when it comes to free agent signings.
