Watched some of these teams play this weekend and in scrimmages. Denton Ryan and Denton High stood out to me the most. As for Rider, The Colony, Guyer, and Lake Dallas they all seem pretty even. Should be interesting to watch. All were very average offensively and defensively.

Who are the standout pitchers and position players for these programs?

Little Elm beat Rider (5-2)Tuesday to throw it into a three way for 3rd.

Any 2 of those 3 could come out for the third and fourth. Denton, LD and The Colony look like they are out.

WOW, how did Reid Barnett, Gage Green and Cameron Allen do for Rider? And Jase Bailey for Little Elm? Thanks GED10DaD

Luckily, with a change or new interpretation of the HBP rules, our umpires are no longer awarding 1st base to a hitter that does not make a "significant effort" to avoid being hit. I have seen many instances in our local HS games where a player has been instructed to return to the box and continue the AB. Kudos to Coach Kinzy for having helped a strong physical pitcher develop a strong mental approach to this part of the game. How did we ever let that guy get out of Lubbock?? Confused

Looks like you guys were pretty close on your baseball predictions:

W L GB
Denton Ryan 10 1 --
Denton Guyer 9 2 1
Wichita Falls 8 3 2
Wichita F Rider 6 5 4
Little Elm 4 7 6
The Colony 4 7 6
Lake Dallas 2 9 8
Denton High 1 10 9

It's over except for 4th and I think Rider has played Guyer and Ryan already.

Denton was weird, just never clicked?

Good luck to these guys.
