It's a very solid summer collegiate league. The ballparks are good and players come from around the country. Bus rides may be a bit long, but the players are in coaches with TV's and even wifi, and they stay in pretty decent hotels. It's pretty much the minor league experience while in college.
The league also has a good reputation. The Brazos Valley Bombers were declared national champions in 2013, and several hundred players who have played in the league have been drafted, like Hunter Pence and Clay Buchholz. If he has a chance to play there, I would strongly recommend it.
