God must have taken Buck and McCarver in The Rapture. They're not doing the Sox-Cubs Game of the Week.

It's not that Vasgersian and Karros are any good. It's just Buck and McCarver have worn out their welcome.quote:Originally posted by biggerpapi:
Yeah, but I'm no fan of Karros. These two sound like they're doing the LLWS. I'm surprised they haven't told us how fast that pitch would be if it was from 48 feet.

It's interesting you say this. I lived in southern California for twenty-two years. I watched a lot of Dodgers games on tv. I thought the guy never shut up. He threw so much information at the audience (not all relevant) I joked he would tell you what the pitcher's sister hit against lefties in her adult softball league. Maybe it was because he was doing a simulcast with the radio and had to fill dead air that doesn't occur on tv since there's a view.quote:Originally posted by piaa_ump:
Now that Ernie Harwell is gone......and they have banished Jon Miller to radio only...it leaves only Vin Scully for me at the top of the heap....
he says what he has to say, when it needs said....he lets the game do the talking.....
