I have requested that the post about DK and the draft be deleted. There have been some other posts as well that have been deleted over the past few days.

I am very superstitious, example, when someone posted about DK and the first South Carolina game, he got crushed, so did his team. Frown

The most important thing at this point is for us (and I suggest this to all who is going thorugh this right now) to ignore most of what is written and leave it all to DK, his coaches and his advisor. We are just along for the ride this time around!

Although some of you posted congratulations, as PG pointed out, there is really nothing at this time to celebrate. Six weeks until the draft is a long way away and anything can happen and that can happen to anyone here whose son is a draft consideration, not just DK. But thank you for pulling for him.

This year's draft is going to be somewhat of a challenge. The first round is proceeded by the supplemental round, with a record number 37 picks. By the second round, some teams will have already had 3-4-5 picks. So at this point, there will be a lot to consider for everyone who may be a prospect. Do your homework.

I have tried to give lots of advice over teh years on the HSBBW, though I am reminded often that my son's situation is different than many. But my advice has nothing to do with him, my advice is simple. Protect your players from injury, beginning at an early age. Place more emphasis on school work than a ballgame. Try to get exposure for your son outside of HS without breaking the bank. Encourage your son in his senior year in HS to make the best choice for HIM (our son's choice was to mature and grow in college). Try to enjoy and take the attitude let the chips fall where they may!
