I don't come on here much anymore but I had to say Thank You before too much time passes. I have been on here for 16 years with my middle son and then my youngest son who finished up his college career after 5 years the way that only a few does, as a National Champion. He was blessed to lead the nation in career appearances as an active player and will leave with 129 for the Tennessee record and the most appearances in a year for UT with 36 this year. He pitched in 9 straight playoff games including all 3 at CWS. You guys were a part of that and many who are not here anymore.
He is truly the example of the player who was told he was not good enough to pitch in the SEC because he was not big enough and didn't throw fast enough. But it is about finding the right coaches that believe in you and taking the full opportunity when given the chance, which he did. He will finish with a 3.04 era. He also gets to live out his dream of coaching as he will join the UT coaching staff in some capacity.
And he did not get the large NIL deals but got a lot of air time and left loved by Vol Nation. Finally, and most importantly, he used his platform for a witness to millions on his faith and his love for mankind as he has graciously promoted multiple causes, but none greater than the East Tennessee Children's Hospital.
