Mr. baseball8, I thought I saw you this weekend. Was it you that made it out on Friday? How was the umpiring?
Fungo, Matt has been working hard since he was 8 or 9, a;so has a great love for the game. Looks like he is settling in well at the varsity level.
Wow..i had no idea i won the sportsmanship award untill i looked at this just now...kinda cool to find out this way i guess hahaha..it was an amazing tourney to play in and even though we didnt do so well i enjoyed participating in this amazingly run tourney...
Jarthur,
Yes that was me out there on friday in the freezing cold. You did a WONDERFUL job with this tournament!
No comments about the umpiring....even though....oh never mind.
Keep up the good work, and I look forward to the next time we cross paths.
Congrats to Benet!

Jarthur,
I think you had Ray Charles and Stevie wonder working the bases, and behind the plate!

<< I agree with baseball8 umpiring was
When did the crotch become the top of the strike zone?
I seriously doubt that is why NC lost to New Trier on Thursday night........ I think NC slighted NT and that is the reason for the loss, high school umpiring is always less than expected
It is uniform across the board. It ain't specific to my kid. I see it more and more and it affects ALL pitchers. When ANY pitcher throws the ball right down the middle and the catcher catches it right in front of his nose- how is that a ball?
First class event, as always. Great job, jarthur.
also, the catcher from Benet was pretty good, Roberts is his name.
I know the Igara kid. Have known him for quite sometime. Has a great eye at the plate works all feilds. BA was posted last week in the Daily Herald over .500 through 31 AB'S.
Arm is one of the best for a sophmore I have seen. Also used as a pitcher for middle relief when not in the outfield. Good speed on the bases. Overall very sound player. No attitiude at all. Just loves the game. Will improve over time.
