to fly around.

Spring is just about ready to be sprung.

Its coming in - and you got to hit it. Hard!

And you got to catch it

And you got to run fast

and you got to strike them all out.

Its competition time - where the printed words mean squat - and the flight of the ball means everything. You can feel it in your bones.

And that is about as good as it gets!!!
You spend a good piece of your life gripping a baseball, and in the end it turns out that it was the other way around all the time. ~Jim Bouton, Ball Four, 1970

HS Son's season started on Saturday with 2 three inning scrimages in the morning and 2 games in the afternoon. Weather was gorgeous and it was awesome to be back at the ball field. Was supposed to have a game today, but hail, thunderstorms and tornado watches changed that. Hopefully they will be able to play Saturday but the chance of rain is 60%. At least they got one day in.
Well judging by the lack of snow or ice in the photo it is apparent that the field is not being burned to thaw it out.

Perhaps the field is undergoing some sort of purging ceremony or even an exorcism?

Maybe EH is on to something!

And speaking of exorcising...see how the Brits do it! : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ukqzcC_jf_0&feature=related

Those two really know how to bring down the House!
