Three of the top starting pitchers in this World Series used to be NY Yankees. That includes the two scheduled to start game 1. The Yankees weakness this year was....?

Clemens - He retired and decided to come back in his hometown.

Pettite - He was a free agent and signed with his hometown club.

Contreras - I think the Yankees kind of gave up on him a bit early. They traded him and a pile of money to the White Sox for Loaiza. By the way, at the time this was a classic example of trading a player with more "talent" for a player who had better "production".
It was a joke people! Roll Eyes

All this garbly goop about who's gonna win this and that, and so and so's the better league because that's all I watch, so and so has the longer toenail on their left big toe so that makes him a better player than the guy on your team, for crying out loud!

Watch the series, root for your team, and enjoy it for what it is, an escape from everyday life.

Sometimes I think that the invention of the internet and forums have seriously hindered our human relation skills.

Geez people, enjoy the series see you after the series....maybe walk

One last thing...Go 'Stros!
