I have not been actively posting for a while but still read topics in the ultimate baseball resource for parents navigating their sons/daughters way up the baseball/softball ladder. I just want to share with you the article I wrote for a future blog ( with a HSSBW source as a link) and would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you for your help  all through these years especially those persons I had interacted with the most ( You know who you guys are! )

I like Ryanrod's quote line. I looked it up. Here's the poem that originated the saying ...

Diamonds are only chunks of coal
That stuck to their jobs, you see
If they’d petered out like most of us do
Where would the diamonds be?

It isn’t the fact of making a start
It’s the sticking that counts, I’ll say.
It’s the fellow that knows not the meaning of fail,
But hammers and hammers away.

Whenever you think you’ve come to the end
And you’re beaten as bad as can be,
Remember that diamonds are chunks of coal
That stuck to their jobs, you see.

That was very nice. My own son was also recruited by Grinell and he was one of my favorite coaches who always took the time for handwriiten notes.

It is hard when it ends and I still miss seeing my sonin uniform.

It wasnt as hard as I pictured because I like you enjoy our sons in many aspects of life.

We had the pleasure of attending a football game last week for my sons school and it was a lot of fun.

Huge success to play at the college level.

Congrats on that and a degree from an outstanding school.

@fanofgame... Thank you for reading.. I am sure your son has learned a lot playing baseball and finishing his degree.. It is indeed the game of life... Continued success to your son.

@BransonBaseball ..Thank you for your comments. I know your son made the right decision for himself with the guidance from you and I wish him well during his senior year in HS!
