Being lucky enough to live 15 minutes from a AA park is great. As a family we have shared many special nights enjoying the great game of baseball. All the great players we've seen, the countless foul balls retrieved, the hot dogs, the snow cones, the Home Runs that sailed over the scoreboard, the fireworks, the autographs, the broken bats, all the times when my kids raced Muddy around the bases. Memories we cherish. There's nothing like having a Home team to call your own. I can't wait to get out to the park ! Who's your Home Team ?

The Aberdeen Ironbirds(A-short season club of Baltimore Orioles)is about 15 mins away from me.

but then we also have the (A) Fredrick Keys,(AA)Bowie Baysox and then (A) Delmarva shorebirds who are also instate minor league clubs of the Baltimore orioles.

(AAA) Norfolk Tide is only a state away and then the Rookie ball club Blue field Orioles in West virgina, so all the clubs are really close to the Big Club in baltimore...so we have a variety to pick from.
Within an hour we have the Trenton Thunder (AA), Lehigh Valley Ironpigs (AAA), Reading Phillies (AA), Wilmington Blue Rocks (A), Camden Riversharks (I) and Somerset Patriots (I). There's this other team called the Phillies. Personally, I'd rather watch Villanova play Big East games.
"MUUUUUUUUUUUUUDCAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATS!!!"

I can still hear this one father's constant cheer for the MudCats. However, these MudCats were 13-15 age PONY ballplayers over here in Seoul (US kids living temporarily overseas). Instead of using the overused and shabby uniforms provided by Rec, we decided to do our own thing. I ordered MudCats t-shirts online from the MudCats store and the kids loved them! We went undefeated that year and won the Korea-wide (American programs) title!!

When we won the final, this dad literally climbed about 20 feet up the backstop and, with one arm waving in the air, kept shouting, "MUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUDDDDDDDDCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATTTTTTTTTTTTSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!"

It was a classic.
