Over the years, I've collected some memorabilia from my kids baseball teams and games. I've got lots of medals and trophies...pretty nice. Wink I've got baseballs, posters and photos autographed by their teams...a bat in one case. I've got jerseys and caps. A glove and batting gloves

But the thing I really want is "the jacket." In college as a freshman, older son got a team jacket, with his number sewn into the sleeve. I'm hoping he gets another one this year and next year so my wife and I can have "the jacket."

What things did you collect and what is the "one" that you really covet or want?

Justbaseball, I also collect those “trophies”. I have stuff stuck in drawers, hanging on walls, stuck under the beds, and rolling around under car seats. At some point in time we need to decide what to do with this entire collection of memorabilia. To me they mean more than the little brass baseball player attached to a walnut board that are handed out by the booster club president or the tournament directors. These items have character and seem to send out their own special message. I have bats, gloves, catching equipment, warm-up jacket and uniforms but he hasn’t completely turned loose of his letterman’s jacket yet.
Someday when I’m old older I want to designate a room, start from scratch and design this room around my son’s baseball. A trophy room of sorts but the whole room will be nothing but baseball. Maybe the floor will be astro turf and the walls fashioned out of an outfield fence. The lighting could be miniature stadium lights. Maybe I could fly you and the moose in to Tennessee, import some adult beverages, and we could have a baseball memorabilia “think tank”.

Although... considering that we have had only one day above freezing since November 29...a good, warm, jacket would be most welcome.

Cheer up 30 degrees and freezing rain is forcasted for the weekend. Its a fun to step out your front door and slide past the car. The real challenge is crawling back to the car.

Maybe slip on some of the kids old memorabilia spikes and see if you can dig in.
