I'm very happy for him and very proud of him. The school will be a great fit in many ways. It was quite a journey getting to this point, though. Thanks to all on this board for all the great insight that helped us along the way.

I hope your son realizes how fortunate he is to land in such a great spot in so many ways as compared to some of the options he was considering. That's the opinion of someone who moved the heck out of Ohio decades ago for the warmer climates of California

We have two of our Santa Rosa Cardinal Newman HS players playing on the team

Not Much. Applied to Chapman -- cause of the film school (which is super highly competitive) -- and talked to the coaches and had a visit that went well. Might have gone had he gotten in. But in the end didn't get in.

Thanks, BLD. Good stuff. What we also need is a sense of the campuses, the yards, coaches, etc. Time for a road trip. I think we'll try to go to both Socal and OR this summer.

Don't discount the talent or competition for playing time at any Northwest Conference or SCIAC school, JCG, it'll be a battle to make a mark at any ifthe schools
