This Friday December 16, our American and Cincinnati Reds '18 and under' teams depart for Australia. The Rookies '16 and under' team will join this group of 54 players.

The teams will play 44 games against the State players of Western Australia, New South Wales and South Australia. This is our 11th Goodwill Series to Australia.

Our 8 coaches are pro scouts and a former Scouting Director. In Perth we will film the games for our web site <www.goodwillseries.org> We will send daily reports of the games, of the players and of the warm weather from the land "down under".

When we complete the trip, professional scouting reports will be sent to specific college coaches. Pro scouts from Australia and USA view our games in Australia.

The Australia trip is a preparation for the journey to Japan next June. The Japan Goodwill Series [1983-2006] is the World Cup of High School baseball. Over 40,000 attend daily the annual high school tournament in Osaka and 40 million view on TV.

Australia 2005;
We have returned all 55 players from the land "down under'.

The Reds team coached by Jason Baker and Rob Williams played a strong schedule in Sydney and Perth.

When we combined the Reds team with our American team, coached by Mickey White, former Scouting Director of the Indians, this team was very strong against the professionals team, Perth Heat under the lights in Perth.

This game we produced on TV and it was played before 1,000 people on the 23 December.

Fred Mack, one of the best catching coaches in America worked all day with the American and Australian catchers in South Australia. Western Australia and New South Wales.

It is now time to prepare and select our players for the very strong trip in June to Japan.

My son just back from the trip and what an incredible trip for him from a baseball aspect and cultral stand point.

As I told Bob,if my son went 0 for 36,it was still worth it because the coaching was great ,the team mates were great,and the host team and families were wonderful. He learned how to play cricket amd Australian rules football . In fact the host family gave him a Australian rules football and jersey. It will be one of his baseball highlights in the future.
Bob Williams(Consultant) is so much fun to talk to because he exudes amature baseball and you can hear the passion in his voice with respect to baseball.

It was a lifetime trip for my son and it will not be forgotten
