Okay, I have finally recovered from jet-lag, re-started my job, got the kids off to school, and a billion other things checked off the ol' to-do list......

So, it's time to fire up this Internet Radio Show I've been yammering on about. The Next Level Radio Show will feature conversations with various persons whom are in the business of helping players reach that next level, as well as parents and players themselves. Shows will revolve around what players need to do to get to the next level, BUT we will not get deeply into 'skills'....the focus will be more on schools, grades, SATs, showcases, recruit camps, what college coaches and scouts really look for, and the like. I hope the shows will be highly anecdotal.

My first guinea pig/guest will be Michael Ely, aka "GotWoodForSale". Gotwood will be a good starting point because I know he'll be an easy interview! This will allow me to check all the tech and make sure everything is working, listeners are getting a clear signal, etc. And most of all, we ALL want to know more about this most peculiar individual (and I mean that in the best way!)!

Eventually, I'll take live calls/questions (must be via SKYPE - it's a free download www.skype.com, and you'd also need a basic headset/mic combo) -- but for the first show or two, I'll take questions for the guests via e-mail, in advance. Also, once I get rolling, I'll offer ad-time on during the show (either my read from your text OR you cans end me an mp3 audio file to play). Ad rates will be very, very reasonable for HSBBWeb folk (showcases, camps, clinics, equipment, training, etc). Just want to help cover some of the expenses, not kill people. If you're interested in running adverts during upcoming shows, please send an e-mail to nextlevelshow@gmail.com

So, if you have a question you would like to ask Michael, please send it to nextlevelshow@gmail.com
And if I could please ask that the questions be, for the most part, 'serious'? Things you'd really ask, baseball-wise. Can't guarantee I'll get to all questions, but will try.

SHOW TIME: Monday, September 17th, 5pm EASTERN. The signal can be picked up on my station's main site at Coach of the Airwaves (and you can select an off-site media player there as well).

Finally, I want to mention that another host on my station will be interviewing a girl's fastpitch coach from Georgia named Dalton Ruer (wonder if some of you may know him?). This host's show 'theme' has nothing to do with baseball, but she happened to meet Dalton and invited him to be a guest on her show -- interesting guy and should be very entertaining. This shows airs Tuesday the 11th at 10pm Eastern.

Shows WILL be available for download and later listening for those of you who can't make the live broadcast. Unfortunately, being in Korea, I have to do my shows at 6am before work, and that's 5pm Eastern (6pm EST after Daylight Savings ends). I would LOVE to do my shows on Saturdays evenings Eastern (Sunday morning for me over here), but my guess is that this would not be a popular timeslot. If I'm wrong, and most of you WOULD be okay with a Saturday evening show (8 or 9pm Eastern), give your feedback in a REPLY to this post.

I'm suddenly feeling very long-winded, and will end here! Big Grin

The first topic will be "The mutually exclusive nature of these three items: Michael (GW4S), serious, and baseball-wise". Discussion will include whether any of this is suitable for Krak's Serious Satellite Radio network..."The Network That Touches You...Regardless of Which Far Flung Corner of the World You Are Trying to Hide In."

Picked up Krak? What are we going to be picking up? Do all of us need to get our shots...you know...vaccinations, inoculations, multi-vitamins, lint brush?

Can't make it out alive? Whoa Krak...it was my understanding that our participating in this so-called radio event would be reasonably safe and survivability would be "highly likely". You said so Krak...is it still true..."highly likely"?

If things start to go horribly wrong will those of us on the right side of the International Dateline know about it a day or so in advance or a day or so too late? This detail is somewhat important to the listening audience...those brave souls in Seoul and those brave souls over thisaway and over thataway as well.

All of this gobbledygook and poppycock...nonsense about Daylight this and Savings that. Eastern evenings and popular timeslots...HA! We ain't buying it Krak...I'm ever so sorry that it has all come down to this...this maelstrom of meaningless measurements...time!

I've been trying to tell you Krak...this isn't the first time I've warned you and it most likely won't be the last...watch it with that SKYPE stuff...I know it's free, but that's still no reason to be overindulging. Remember Krak..."All things in moderation"...this certainly includes SKYPE.
