This is about who the pirates lost and gained down at the winter meetings in Dallas.

I REALLY like picking up Sean Casey, even if it means that he will only be here for on year. I don't really have a problem giving up Dave Williams for him. I was really excited to here Casey was comming to Pittsburgh.

Ty Wiggenton- glad he's gone.

I'm was soo surprised that Rob Mackowiak is going to go to Chicago(AL). I really thought we were going to hold on to him. I mean for Damaso Marte? We used to have him, I believe. IDK. I'll leave comments on that one up to you guys.

Mark Redman. I'm glad we got rid of him, we got Jonah Bayliss and Chad Blackwell for him. I have never heard of eather of those guys.

Victor Santos wasn't a bad pickup in the rule 5.

I'll enjoy reading any comments you guys leave.

I didn't get the Macko for Marte trade from Pirates standpoint. Marte is certainly talented but a whole lot of if's with him. Another good move my Kenny Williams.

I suspect Ty is glad to get out of that sorry excuse for a franchise, too. Very few players put forth the effort and passion that Wiggs does. He will catch on with someone who appreciates blue collar. McClendon sure didn't.

McMlendon is now a non-factor. They have an outstanding manager in Jim Tracy, and that is what matters now.

The move to trade Mackowiak has many of us a bit bothered. He was our best all utility guy.....he could play infield/outfield at a pro level and deliver hits when needed. The only think I keep hoping is they are thinking of bringing in a real 3rd baseman.........Blalock??? perhaps....

Casey is good for me....My seats are just at the end of the visiting dugout, so I get a good view of the plays and calls at first...
