The season is about to start and I'm stuck in Cairo

Sorry to hear about the situation. WI HS teams play in Miller park, take road trips to the Metrodome in MN, the NFL is Playing a game in Lodon next year. Maybe your people can talk to their people and get one of your sons game to played in Cairo.

All in fun.

Get some game film xferred to the web, that would be a nice alternative, but most important....... stay safe!

I really appreciate the concern but you guys don't have to worry about my safety. Egypt is not really like the Middle Eastern countries.I tell my family it is in North Africa because it is and it has a more laid back kind of Islam. True most of the trouble makers were schooled in Egypt but the government here keeps them in line. They do not produce oil like the more conservative Islamic countries, they rely on tourism. One problem at a popular tourist attraction and their economy is in the tank for months.

I do however keep my eyes and ears open all the time. Better safe than sorry.

Dad4boys,....can ya talk the Missus,..or perhaps a team mates parent into video taping the games?

This has been a technique we've used often to keep our dad " in the loop ", so ta' speak!

While I know its not the same as being there,.... it makes for fun re-runs & great discussion for when ya get back home!!!

I have the worry gene--I worry about everybody!

With the current history in my family, I tell my kids to "stay safe" when they go to bed!

Dad4boys - I feel for you! It's a bummer to be missing those games!
I had been hoping you'd get a chance to meet my son this season too since I won't be able to be down there.
