I have heard a rumor the big game is today, in an hour or so.  I cannot confirm this, as I swore off pro football shortly after my beloved Seahawks' last offensive play in last year's Super Bowl.  The rumor also included the opponents for the game: the Broncos and the Patriots.  If that's true, I am even less interested in the game, given the Seahawks' long-time enmity toward the Broncos and its more recent contretemps with the Patriots.

I am awash in PTSD, but wish the best to those of you who care.  May your beer be cold, your guacamole savory, and your HD TVs sharply focused.

For myself, well, I will be watching a complete rerun, commercials and all, of the Seahawks' 43-8 shellacking of the Broncos in Super Bowl XLVIII.  I will be doing this for the 29th time which, coincidentally, is the same number of points the Seahawks needed to beat the Patriots last year.

BTW, I may actually tune in for the third quarter when, apparently, there is a great Christopher Walken commercial.  He's always worth watching.

Oh, wait...it's NOT the Patriots?  My bad.  Cabbagedad got me to turn the game on and, lo and behold, it's the PANTHERS... my word.

Nice, smoke...

I'll try to lure you back in.

Just listened to a Manning interview.  He was basically asked, when all is said and done, what do you want your legacy to be.  Paraphrasing, #1 is that all the teammates he has had consider him to be a great teammate.  #2 is that all coaches, his own and opposing, have respect for him as a player.

Hmmmm, who will I be pulling for with, otherwise, no skin in the game?
