Dont know about getting a "ting" but the best "sound" for me is the "sound" of a baseball being hit with a wood bat

I'm with TR on this! The 'crack" of the bat is the universal sound in baseball. I think "the ting" was the Japanese version of a movie about a monster frozen in ice.

Come on guys. Don't you know anything. Duh ting was the big orange member of the Fantastic Four and the only sound he made was "It's clobberin time." Obviously a former baseball player and an awsome power hitter.
