The guy was drunk. He could have -- maybe would have -- killed someone else if he had not first killed himself. No, I have no sympathy at all for him or his family, and if you don't think we don't all pay the cost of the insurance bills, you are sadly mistaken. This family is sadly pathetic. My sympathy, which did exist at first, evaporated as soon as I read about the lawsuit. Simply amazing. And I sure hope that there are not players out there who see what Hancock did and think it is okay from them to do it too.
My sympathy, instead, lies with the families of all of those who have lost loved ones to drunk drivers. Perhaps Hancock should have called a cab. Or perhaps he should not have been drinking in the first place.
I lost a loved one to a drunk driver. So did the Hancock family and I feel for them.
Its everyones responsibility to stop drunk driving.
Please take their keys, drive them home, put them in a cab and if they refuse call the police.
