Recruited by USA baseball? Thats boloney. How pretentous that statement is. It attempts to say something other than the fact that your kid tried out for a good JO team and made it, something thousands of good 16 yo players are proud of.

Not you though.

You obviously feel inadaquate about something your son accomplished, something most parents would be proud of.

To me that's sad.

Sir, you have more issues than a message board can resolve. I suggest you look elsewhere for resolution.

Good luck with that though

I must have missed you at that meeting with USA Baseball rep. In fact they tried to get us to commit the year earlier, but we didn't go to the meeting because my son was to young at the time.

Guess I missed you at that meeting too.

My son played on the 14 yr old team at 13 years old so you really need to get a handle on your facts.

You are showing a huge envy and jealousy complex. Better go work on that.

That has never been up to me or you, in speaking of our son's...

I, like you, have been along for the ride.

I am proud of my son's accomplishments even the ones you don't believe.

But ask me if I give one whit whether you believe me or not...answer, no.

Pic, please tell us why in the world that is noteworthy. Is it unusual? no. Why did you mention that? You mentioned it. Why?

&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&

My son's BD is 9/1/1986 and he has one of BD's that can go either way. He could play older or younger. He always played up with the older group. But that being said he deserved playing up because he had the ability to compete at the older level.

Look, I don't care about who wants to talk to my son, be it USA Baseball, or XYZ Baseball...why? Because it has never been up to me were he plays and who he talks to. He decides based upon how he feels and whether he likes the guys he talks to.

A scout could talk to him now and I'd never know it, why...because he never discuwsses those sorts of things with us until he has made a decsion on choices. Then he tells us what he is going to do.

His resume that is posted as a link doesn't reflect half of the teams he's played for nor the other awards he's won...but it is a snap shot of who is.

A kid doesn't achieve what he has without discipline and commitment and that's all it reflects...really.

....especially playing "up" a whole year. BFD.

Without a doubt the thickest pair of RCG, rose colored glasses of anyone bright enough to log on the internet, and several who aren't even that bright.

An honest question to you PIC. You've made several statements about not caring
what others think about your opinions and that you are going to defend yourself
and your son when others take "potshots" at you or him. If you truly DON"T care
why do you respond? If the majority of the posters on this site are lemmings and
just go along with the "good ole boys" then don't you think you should be posting
where you think you'll get a fair shake?

Also, when you put a "target" on your back by linking your son's website you'll
have to expect receiving potshots when a lot of your posts are controversial.

I honestly don't think the majority of parents/posters here have ever had any interest in trying to "shoot" at you--but when you make yourself an easy target
you'd better learn to duck.
PIC,
I'm sure your son is a fine player and a good person, but I do take personal offense when you make a statement such as:
******************************
It is with pride that I can say in spite of the testimony in his support that I refused to be hoodwinked by Rob just so my son would be accepted into the circle of those who achieved status through undo influence.
********************************
I consider that an attack on my son's work ethic. You are saying that MY son's accomplishment are from "undo influence", just because he played for NorCal My son works very hard and learned a lot from playing with NorCal against the toughest teams in the country, East Cobb, Arlington Wizards, ABD, Bama Bombers, etc. I read your son's accomplishments and they are impressive. We abandoned 'Babe Ruth' because it wasn't competitive enough. He was also invited to play in Australia, but we decided the money was better spent with NorCal.
Go ahead and blow your own horn, but do not insinuate that others are getting recognition for things they do not deserve.
Take a look at the NorCal roster and see where those kids are going. Do you think Bruno can 'hoodwink' the head coaches and CAL, Stanford, UCLA, USF, Vanderbilt, Cal Poly, Arizona, etc. too.

Personally, I think that can be said for most of the players whose parents post on this site.

Your son is obviously a talented young man and has apparently been rewarded and awarded appropriately. But you continually imply that he has had to struggle against the "establishment" ... and it just doesn't come through that way when we read his credentials. Methinks someone has a pretty big chip on his shoulder ... and it doesn't appear to be your talented son. noidea

He stands alone in defense for the right for all players to be treated with respect and honest dealing by unscrupulous promotors BUT he thinks it's OK to have a player run 3 miles in a dress..me thinks this is some hypocritical way of thinking biglaugh
Oh wait I already know what the answer is going to be, it's a gimme.
Bighit,
Time for the tutu!!!!
