Yeah...a lot going on...new job, etc.

How are you guys looking this year?

Redbird5 and Coach May, what 12U teams are you with? My son played against the Express, Banditos, East Cobb, and the Lightning last year. Also watched the OC Juice in Disney. Express were very good. Heard they picked up some studs. Banditos have added a few, however, I heard they lost their middle infield. The Astros added some much needed Power. Should be a good year.

It is true that the Banditos lost both the SS and second baseman. We did however pick up two more pitchers and a little more offense. We should stil be very competitive.

My son is playing for the 12u Manchester A's from Akron and we're looking forward to playing against some good teams. I guess we have a few games set up against the Columbus Sharks, Lake Erie Bulldogs, Venom Extreme and some other top teams in Ohio. So we'll find out real quick if we're any good or not. My son played some tournaments with Team Ohio Starz last year and they were very good to us, we really appreciated the experience. With them we played the SEM Pirates, a couple of Beaver Vally teams, and some good 12u tournements as 11's. Good luck to all and hurry up warm weather!

The Sharks and Extreme should be pretty tough.

Great team last year and one heck of a nice coach!

Reminds me of coach Tressel somehow! Very focused, organized and confident. What a bunch of s****** (thats a good thing) ballplayers. They were not very big but had big hearts,big skills,and hit the snot out of the ball! Hey thats not a bad word! OK try turbokid ballplayers,

I saw the Ohio Stars play at the elite 24 last year. They were a very good and s****** team.

They were downright puny compared to our team but they beat us. They didn't hit the snot out of it either, they bloopered us to death! Then they ran the bases like they stole something. Fun to watch just not from the opposing dugout!

Why didn't your son play for them this year?

The team split up after the season was over, two different area's . I can't say enough about how good the coaches were to us! But both area's are slightly over an hour away and we felt like it might be too much. I think both teams should be very good again this year and I certainly wish them the best! Should be a fun season.

Perfectly understandable. From what I hear, the A's should be pretty solid.

Beezer , what team did your son play with? Were they at the elite 24

Oh my son is 13u but Team Ohio Starz are close so we played them. In fact they came over to prepare for Elite 24. Guess we didn't help much.

My son is on the Columbus Sharks U12. They are looking at a very intense schedule coming this season far more than in the past. Likely 9 tourneys. The Midwest Super League they organized and are in will be one of the toughest in the Nation with strong teams in it like the Manchester A's, Venom, Bulldogs, SEM, Indy Pony Express, Cincy Flames, South Oakland A's and several others. They are looking to improve on their performances from last year. Definitely picked up a few strong kids and lost a set of twins due to a move to NC who are now playing on the Carolina Outlaws, another nationally ranked team.
Nonetheless they have improved from a player standpoint and look forward to playing some of the best teams in the country!
They should really turn some heads even more so this year!
