The top JC in the New England area are

University of Connecticut at Avery Point

Community College of Rhode Island

Massasoit Community College

Dean College would be the 4th best team in New England. Uconn-Avery Point is one of the best JC in the Northeast. The have been to the NJCAA D-II World Series a couple of times and Coach Roger Bidwell has done an outstanding job with the program.
I coach at Manchester CC in CT. We have finished runners-up the last 3 years in the region. If you would rank the top 5, it would most likely be UCAP(they are by themselves) Roger is a top notch coach, CCRI and Massasoit very close, then we'd probably slot in right behind them along with Quinsigamond CC. That's based on the past 3 seasons. This season Northern Essex is very strong.

duecehook,
very nice to here you mention northern essex, the baseball program has come along way in the past few years.very difficult for any teams in the north east to do real well as most kids want to go south, and i don't blame them.as i've allways said there is someplace for everyone if you want to play baseball .most all the junor colleges i've seen this year are places i'd send my son .(he plays at northern essex) they are all worth a look
we've had mild interest on the big man to play in the NECBL in a reserve capacity, but most play either their last year of legion, one plays for a team that was runner up at the regionals last year, or they will play in the hartford twilight league. it's a wood bat league that is a high caliber of ball. my team has 9 guys with pro experience on our 24 man roster, with the other 15 playing Div. I or II. My asst. "the other big guy" retired from pro ball in '03 and still throws it.
