Andrew is committed to North Carolina. he is a RHP 6'0 185. He is also recognized as one of the top catchers in the Northeast

Juan was impressive at Perfect Game. I know he's from the Dominican Republic and I believe he lives in Malden, but not sure what school. Does anybody know what High School we will be attending?

some really good players up in goffstown. also hampton has a tough lefty. probably not draftable at least not real high,, the lapoint boy is only a sophmore

2 very good infielders from RI...Matt Bouchard, from Hendricken, and Jonathon Melendez, from Hope. Both are Div. I recruits, and Melendez is also a pitcher.

You are right 20dad. Ryan transfered as a sophy and Exeter made him a frosh again....Forgot about that.
Still, as a freshman as Sommerswoth he was named to the 2nd team ALl State team for Class I.
And, as a freshman at Phillips Exeter he was named to the Central NE Prep School All Star team...in good company with Andy Gale.

Two other top prospects would be Terry Doyle 04and Jeff Castillo 05 of Salem.

Gale will certainly be drafted, unless he has made college his first choice.

Having seen Doyle I can tell you he is a solid Division I pitcher

The Castillo boy played with us all fall and he is going to be a real good one

Andrew Carignan goes to Norwich Free Academy (NFA) in Norwich, CT. 1st team All-state as a junior. led NFA to LL state championship and #1 baseball team in the state in 2003. He recorded 4 victories and 1 save in the tournament

my son played withryan, and jeff .in aau,played in jupiter last year,usa tryouts,played against doyle and gale all very good ball players , better than that good kids

Matt Iannetta is a catcher who is also comitted to UNC. He is the brother of Chris Iannetta, who is currently the catcher at UNC. Both are Providence/ St. Ray's kids...

Keep an eye out for Cliff Hicks. Sr. 2nd baseman with Merrimack High School in NH. Has a ton of pop in his bat.

Have not heard of Anderson. I will keep my ears open. My son played for Merrimack. He is now pitching for Franklin Pierce College. BD

Anyone know if Terry Doyle has made a commitment decision & to whom? Met him on a college visit. Curious to know his decision.

Spoke with Terry's Dad last week-- no decision had been made at that point but he had some great situations in hand-- I am waiting to hear back on the final decision.

I saw them play this summer and haven't seen anything anywhere about where they are going. I was all over the *******' Western Hemisphere. It was a baseball parent's dream summer.

Yes, I'm really from California. So do you know where they're going? If its not public yet, I don't want to know.

Last I heard they have not publicly made it known if they have decided at all

I have heard that Rainville has made a verbal committment to Tennessee. However, I am not sure if it is true, and I have also heard that he is not planning to go to college.

I saw Andy at the World Wood Bat and he told me he hasn't made a decision.

Rogers has committed to Miami.

Mark Rogers and Ralph Mims, two of Maine`s most highly recruited high school athletes, are in different places when it comes to deciding what school colors they`ll be wearing for the next four years.

Rogers, a senior at Mt. Ararat in Topsham, will sign a national letter of intent Wednesday, accepting a scholarship to play baseball at the University of Miami.

It's bragging time! Just to let everyone (or anyone) know, Terry Doyle committed to
Boston College in late October. After four of the most interesting months, he decided that
BC was where he would be happiest if baseball was taken out of the picture. He visited
several schools, met some great people, players and coaches, and it took him a week to
decide between the final two schools. Ivy or Big East/ACC, how can you go wrong?
He's loved the game since he was 4 years old, watching the re-play of the 1988 AA All Star game because the Boston Red Sox were rained out. He started going to baseball camps with Dave Bettencourt when he was 6. Little League at 6, AAU at 12, with tournaments in Missouri, Florida, Connecticut, New York, Massachusetts, and others. High school varsity ball as a freshman, All-State as a sophomore and junior. American Legion All-Star at 16 & 17, in New Hampshire and then Rhode Island. Two showcases sophomore year, Northeast and PG Underclassmen as a "break-in", then college Select, Top 96, Blue-Grey, and Brockton Invitational after his junior year.
Now he gets to enjoy his senior year without a lot of "extra" stress. All the hard work
at school, work, at home (especially with his sisters), and baseball, is paying off. Can you tell we're Proud Parents?!

mass fan..it is true that Rainville has given his verbal to tenn, and your right about him probably not attending, from what I hear he is the first player since Todd Helton to be offered a full scholarship.

Anybody know about Ben Crabtree at Phillips Academy in Andover? Has he been on the showcase circuit at all?

It's Andy Crabtree, and he is a high major type pitcher. He's 6-5, skinny, with a live arm. When I saw him last year, he was mid to high 80s, but it was a very cold, wet day. He hasn't been at most of the summer showcases because he is from Florida. He is very, very talented. If any of you get the chance, go see Exeter-Andover this year if Gale and Crabtree are going against each other...
