I know it might have been interesting. Actually the reason for doing it the new way is two fold.
1 - It does save a lot of time. It is hard and time consuming to separate players at some point.
2 - We think there is a much bigger difference between #1 and #50 than there is between #500 and #1,000. If that makes any sense.
The line was so fine between 500 and 1000 that it was extremely difficult ranking one player in the 500s and another player in the 900s. Actually we used to go to 2,500 players and ranked them in order.
Isn't Lance Veeder a 2011? Or am I mistaken?
Veeder IS a 2011 and recently committed to St. Joseph's.

Actually, that makes a ton of sense to anyone who ever studied statistical distributions, bell curves and standard deviations!
In a nutshell, in any distribution, the further you get from the mean, the more things get spaced apart. The closer you are to the middle, the more they stack up on themselves.
I guess that explains why draft bonuses are so sky high at the top and why they fall off swiftly once you get away from the handful who get the huge money.
Way to go Lance!!!!!! Congratulations to you and your family!
