This is a thread for those of you that would like to post the best showcases that you have experienced or that you know well of. It's really hard picking out the best when there are so many of them. I would really appreciate everyone's input on this subject. Please take value into consideration. I'm a player that is basically on his own on this with a single hard working mom. I can't afford throwing money away. Please help... I would really appreciate it; Thanks!

4genball The best events are Perfect Game events.

Save your money, ask for sponsorships from local businesses, mow yards whatever you can do and then go to a perfect game event.

IMO, if you have the tools to play, they will get you noticed better than any organization out there.

First of all thanks for the reply.
With asking for sponsorships should I write letters/essays and what main points do you recommend that I should touch on? And how should I ask for money because I think they'd be a little hesitant about sending money directly to me.
It's been a while but I believe that PG has a form with the entry application that you can use. You can also have them make the check out to Perfect Game so that they can be sure it is going to the intended purpose.

I would obtain all the PG material with their purpose, audience and success stories to share with the potential sponsors. Also, I bet if you would send a PM to PGstaff, he could help you along.

Good luck.
I know you asked specifically about showcases, and yes, PG is the best of the many I have sent my son to. However, if I asked what wisdom I have gained from the thousands of dollars we have spent over the last several years it would be this:
If you are one of the lucky kids who have a strong idea what college you would like to go to, concentrate on attending their camps and events. They are typically much cheaper than showcases, offer instruction rather than just measuring skills, and here's the most important part- you get a chance to develop a relationship with the coaching staff and let them see you improve. I was told this early on, didn't take it to heart, and after much travel and expense now realize that it was completely true.
Thanks guys. PG it is! June 6th NE Sunshine Showcase. And yeah they do actually have sponsorship forms. 4 genball ill definitely use that idea i think it's great. Wayne i completely agree after thinking about that. The best contact with college coaches is firsthand no doubt.

Wish me luck with the fundraising. My goal will be to qualify as one of the top players at this event and be selected for the National Showcase at the Twin's Metrodome. But hey I don't want to get to ahead of myself.

Thanks Guys

One step at a time baby, One step at a time.
