Steve Dalporto-Nazareth Academy, SS He played on varsity last year with us and hit .360 and is crushing the ball this year. He already has 9 RBI's through three games. He has a solid glove and is a leader in the infield, has great poise for un underclassmen. He is the future of the Naz program and will draw a lot of attention from scouts.
I'm going to throw another name out there that I don't think I have done before. Eric Allard. This kid can bring the heat! Not bad with a stick as well!
The Neuqua Valley Sophomore catcher. He has a plus arm and blocks everything thrown at him. In a game the other day, I watched him completely take over the game defensively. He threw out a runner and picked off a kid off of 1st. Really good.
I cant remember the young mans name, so if someone could help me he deserves to be mentioned.
Romeoville's SS/2B Joe Checchi has to be on anyones list, he is a great fielder and hitter.
Kaneland has sophomore twin's that are amazing and will make noise for years to come. Troy Pritchard (big, tall lefty pitcher) Mike Pritchard (good defensive catcher, but that kid can hit with the best of them)
Some super soph's off to good starts from Central IL include Blair Springfield - Decatur MacArthur, Tommy Jennings - Sacred Heart Griffin, Chaser Todd & Buddy Sexton - Jacksonville, Michael Fitzgerald - Rochester, Jon Blair & Tanner Howell - Beardstown.
