Good Question.

GWS and Area Code has organized over 300 tournament since 1983, including National teams from Australia, China, Korea and Japan. We recently completed a 6 day event in Santa Rosa our "World Showcase". Teams from Perth, and Northern California. Wood bats, two hour time limit, 10 minute infield and 4 games for $425.00.  If the coaches agree before the game they can use double DH.

Objective is to "play" the game to learn. NO TROPHY'S, NO "ALL STARS", NO 1ST PLACE.

Set up the schedule so that each team has two home games. Teams from the longer distance played the 2nd or 3rd game to save on hotel costs and commute time. With the NASCAR races impacting traffic, it was necessary to advise teams of the possible traffic "problems".

Was wondering. Do promoters work with programs on their game time schedules? Seems some of the bigger name programs get some very convenient schedules for their teams. Kind of tired of the 10am and 6pm time slots

Those are perfect.  At least no 8 am and 8 pm.

I do know when I was with an organization who registered multiple teams, they would work on accommodating time slots so coaches could cover if needed.

I should mention those were same day game times

I know and probably a 1.5-2 hrs from home.

I ran a tourney in NW Ohio for 2 years....6 college fields....all within 45 minutes of the group of hotels where the teams stayed.  If possible I gave teams two games a day at the same field.  I tried not to go back to back, but would leave them one game in between.  2 of the fields were less than 10 miles apart.  As often as I could, I had a team play on one of the fields....have a one game break to travel the 10 miles and play on another.  Teams appreciated seeing more than 1 or 2 fields over the weekiend....but also loved the short travel times.  If I had to go 11 and 6, they would play one or the other 15-20 miles away from the hotels, then the other was a complex less than 2 miles from the hotels.   Keep in mind I only had 24 teams, so it's not like I was trying to schedule the WWBA, but I did try to make it as convenient as possible for the teams
