Amishballfan...I am a huge supporter of Towson Univ. baseball. As manager of a high profile summer team in central MD, I have known Coach Gottlieb for over 10 years. 19 former players have played for him at Towson. He is dedicated to the program and his athletes. He holds mandatory study hall 4 nights per week and has a tremendous graduation rate. He gets the most out of his players and teams every year! He recruited a LHP out of my alma mater and my summer team several years ago named Chris Russ. As a high school senior, Chris was 5'11, 150 lbs. Chris got drafted in the 3rd round in 2000 by Texas and is on the AAA roster this season. Mike is a tireless recruiter and coach. If he had the full compliment of Div. I scholarships, I truly believe no other school in the state would touch him year in and year out.
