I couldn't find the original thread but I'm pretty sure we have a high stakes bet (a cup of coffee can get pretty expensive these days) pending on the outcome of the Yankees vs. Red Sox race.

It wasn't too interesting for most of the season but these last few game ought to be pretty interesting.

Inserting myself here, I thought it was amusing that the Devil Rays assisted the Yankees taking over first....given their nemesis status with the Yankees this year!

Found the thread. The bet on my part was that the Yankees would finish ahead of the Red Sox. The Yankees won the division so I could claim victory on that account. The race ended up tied so you could claim victory on that account. I'll settle for owing each other a cup of coffee if we ever meet.

However, in the same thread Phillyfan said he'd wear a Yankees t-shirt if they didn't win the division by at least 10 games.
