very tragic for everyone involved. my heart goes out to this young mans family. a difficult time for the team as well.

I can't even begin to imagine the parent's grief. Prayers go out for the family and his teammates.
This is tragic. PrimeJr. home now playing with his Summer team. You can't help but think how this tragedy could have been in our family.

Truely very sad, reminds me of when I was back in HS and a highly recruited lineman after spring drills (shorts) he collapsed in locker room. He passed and later found out he too had an enlarged heart that went undetected.

As some of you know, my own son lost his best friend last February to SADS. Sudden Arrhythmia Death Syndrome. He simply went to sleep in his dorm room and never woke up. He had annual physicals each year, was an athlete, and never displayed any symptoms. SADS is totally treatable, but it must be diagnosed. Some simple tests can be performed, to identify it, but you must ask for them. Please go the the website provided and educate yourself and pass the word.

Again I have said this before echocardiograms for all athletes.This rules out enlarged hearts.Most insurances cover it, but they wont tell you that.
