Have you ever noticed that training mode and trusting mode (the goal during performance) are almost exactly opposite, brain use-wise?
Training mode: active mind (cerebral cortex), judgmental, scientific, critical, analytic, controlling.
Trusting mode: mind as quiet as a glass lake, accepting, instinctive, artistic, allowing the game to come to him.
Actually, I think most high school athletes train and perform somewhere in the middle, to their detriment. What do you think?
