Transfer DII to DII

Can a current rising Senior DII scholarship player transfer to another DII without sitting out for a year? I thought you could you could only go DIII or NAIA and not have to sit out.

I am not 100% sure, but I believe if you have a release from current school and a certain GPA, you can. Rick with Informed athlete would be a great source

See "14.5.5.3.9 One-Time Transfer Exception" in the D2 manual. There are some conditions (like FriarFred says, plus no previous 4-4 transfers), but I think most people qualify.
