I play baseball at the Divison II level in Florida and I am looking to transfer for this incomming fall and play baseball again at the highest level possible. I already have been granted a release and I am ready to take the next step. What is the best way to go about contacting schools again and generating interest from college coaches?

KBS - Welcome to HSBBW!

The first thing you want to do is to contact and make all coaches and scouts that are familiar with you and your ability aware of your plans. Think back to anyone that recommended you when you were in HS. Then if there are scouts that have become familiar with you during college, contact them.

Secondly, review what schools had interest in you in HS and if you are interested in any of those, contact that coach.

Then thirdly, contact coaches at schools you might have interest in and that you could compete at. Obviously, rosters are full at many schools by now, but there's certainly spots remaining and spots that will become open with the draft.

Also, Perfect Game has a Pre-Draft Showcase in May. I'm not sure if it would be appropriate for a college player - I know they've had JUCO players, so I would think it would be a possibility. You might want to contact them and inquire.

Also, there is an unsigned players forum on this site, if you want to submit your information.

Good luck! Smile

Oh, I almost forgot! I assume you're signed with a summer team somewhere - could be very important for you!!!
