So lets say I go to a 4year this year, take a redshirt and decide I want to do next Junior College, will I still be required to sit out a year with the new rules or since I redshirted I can transfer as I please???

By the way, I think baseball is the most unique sport with signing out of high school and the previous draft and follow years, I dont really like the idea of it having similar rules to football and basketball!

The last thing you want to do is call the NCAA. You'll probably hold on the phone for an hour then get one of their interns in Membership Services. If you call ten times, you'll get 10 different answers. If you know a compliance officer at a college, they will give you the straight scoop. There's a company that deals with NCAA regs and other college placement issues and I've found them to be very helpful. I don't have a phone number, but you can find them on the web - cap4college.com. I had a compliance question that no one seemed to know the answer. The NCAA gave me three different interpretations. These guys had the answer right away and I later did get it confirmed by a manager at the NCAA.
